Terms of Service - Order, Refund and Transfer of Movers & Shapers Workshop Tickets

By purchasing and paying for a ticket to the Movers & Shapers Workshop, you acknowledge and agree to these Refund & Transfer Terms of Service listed below.

1. Ticket Purchase and Confirmation:

1. Seats for the Movers & Shapers Workshop will only be confirmed upon receipt of full payment and clearance of funds into our designated bank account.
2. No provisional bookings will be held.

2. Cancellations and Refunds:

1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via our  support ticket system via our help desk. WhatsApp and/or verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
2. Refunds will be granted for tickets cancelled up to three (3) calendar days prior to the commencement of the conference.
3. A non-refundable administrative fee of R75.00 (Seventy-Five Rand) will be deducted from all refunds.
4. No cancellations or refunds will be processed for tickets cancelled within three (3) calendar days of the conference start date.

3. Ticket Transfers:

1. Tickets are non-resellable.
2. Tickets may be transferred to another individual.
   Transfer requests must be submitted in writing via our designated support ticket system.
3. The following information for the new ticket holder is required for transfer:
       First and Last Name
       Email Address
       Cell Phone Number
4. The original ticket holder is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the provided information.
5. The transferee (new ticket holder) also agrees to abide by these Terms of Service.

4. No Cash Redemptions:

Tickets cannot be redeemed for cash.

5. Event Cancellation by Organiser:

In the event that the conference is cancelled by the event organiser, a full refund of the ticket price will be issued to the original purchaser.

6. Refund Processing:

1. All refunds will be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the original payment source.
2. Refunds will be processed within one (1) week of the cancellation or refund approval.

7. No-Show Policy:

No refunds will be issued for individuals who do not attend the conference, regardless of the reason.

8. Force Majeure:

1. No refunds will be issued if the event cannot be held due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
       Strikes
       Storms or dangerous weather
       Power outages
       War
       Acts of terrorism
       Civil unrest
       Government Restrictions.
2. In such cases, we will make every effort to reschedule the conference to a future date.
3. Attendees who are unable to attend the rescheduled date will not be entitled to a refund.

9. Early Departure:

No partial refunds will be given for attendees who leave the conference before its conclusion.

10. Code of Conduct:

1. Attendees agree to conduct themselves respectfully and civilly towards the event team, staff, and other attendees.
2. Any attendee who causes or incites violence will be forcibly removed from the conference and will not be eligible for a refund.
3. Attendees must not be under the influence of any harmful substances.

11. Restrictions:

1. No children or pets are allowed at the conference.No recording of the event (audio or video) is permitted without the express written consent of the event organiser.

12. Consumer Protection Act Compliance (South Africa):

1. These terms and conditions are intended to comply with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008.
2. In the event of any conflict between these terms and the CPA, the provisions of the CPA will prevail.
3. The R75 admin fee is a reasonable charge to cover the costs of processing the refund, and is not a penalty.
4. The right to transfer the ticket is provided to allow for changes in circumstances, and to avoid unfair restrictions on the consumer.
5. The full refund in the case of a event cancellation by the organiser, protects the consumer from financial loss due to events outside of their control.

13. Dispute Resolution:

1. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. No correspondence will be entered into regarding disputes over these terms and conditions.
3. If a dispute arises, the consumer has the right to refer the matter to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) or the Consumer Tribunal.

14. Acceptance of Terms:

By purchasing and paying for a ticket to the Movers & Shapers Workshop, you acknowledge and agree to these Refund & Transfer Terms of Service listed above.
